A well-respected Dietitian, Angela Berrill is also a nutrition educator and accomplished speaker and presenter. Angela is passionate about health and nutrition, and believes in finding ways for people to enjoy food while also nurturing their bodies.
As an expert nutritionist, Angela is passionate about educating the public on the importance of diet and is regularly called on to share her expertise and opinions by the media.
For a number of years, Angela was the nutrition adviser and expert for TV3's Target and today she regularly appears on The AM Show where she talked about all things nutrition. Angela has used her skills as a freelance nutrition writer to contribute to a number of well-known publications and she has acted as a nutrition and media spokesperson for well-known brands such as Vital Vegetables, Jenny Craig, Tip Top Goodness Grains and Symbio.
Due to her strong media skills and passion for raising the awareness of dietitians in the media, Angela was the inaugural convener of the Dietitians New Zealand Media Special Interest Group (SIG) in 2015 and she remained a member of the Media SIG Working Group until 2018. Angela is also a regular speaker at various conferences and seminars about the importance of nutrition and healthy eating. Her down-to-earth and practical approach leaves attendees feeling motivated and inspired to make life-long changes.
Angela holds Bachelor's degrees in Consumer and Applied Science (Human Nutrition) and Commerce (Marketing Management), from the University of Otago, in New Zealand. After completing her post-graduate training as a Dietitian in 2002, Angela worked as a weight-loss consultant before moving into the food industry. In 2008, Angela founded her private practice, ABC Nutrition Ltd on the belief that good nutrition and eating well should be easy and uncomplicated. In addition to her work with ABC Nutrition, Angela was the National Nutrition Advisor at the Heart Foundation of New Zealand from 2015 - 2017. Angela is also a proud mum to two young boys and is experiencing first-hand the pressures of juggling family and work commitments, while ensuring the optimal health and nutrition of her family.
